Planning your transformation
A bespoke conservation journey designed around your purpose. It begins with a conversation, not a transaction.
WHY PETER'S SAFARIES

How it works
The Planning Process
Thoughtful, unhurried, personal. Unlike commoditized safari booking, our process reflects the significance of your investment.
01
Discovery Conversation
30–60 minutes. Peter personally explores what calls you to Africa, your family dynamics, conservation passions, photography aspirations, and timeline. No pressure—many guests speak with Peter 12–18 months before departure.
02
Custom Proposal
Within 7–10 days, Peter creates a personalized journey proposal with daily narrative itinerary, accommodation details, conservation project integration, and a personalized video message explaining the design choices.
03
Refinement & Commitment
A follow-up conversation to refine every detail. Upon commitment, your dates are secured with preferred camps, and you begin receiving quarterly wildlife updates and conservation news.
04
Pre-Departure Immersion
60–90 days before: private video call with Peter, custom leather-bound safari journal, curated reading list, photography consultation, packing guidance, and cultural briefing.
Why Plan Early
The 12-24 Month Advantage
Thoughtful, unhurried, personal. Unlike commoditized safari booking, our process reflects the significance of your investment.
Premier Properties
The intimate camps we prefer (6–12 rooms maximum) have strictly limited availability and fill far in advance of prime seasons.
Optimal Seasonal Placement
Witness specific wildlife events like calving season (Feb–Mar) or Great Migration river crossings (Jul–Sep).
Conservation Coordination
Arranging researcher meetings, community visits, and behind-the-scenes access requires time to coordinate meaningfully.
Emotional Preparation
Many guests benefit from time to anticipate, research, and mentally prepare for the transformation ahead.
Family Coordination
Multi-generational journeys require advance planning to align diverse schedules and age-appropriate programming.
Financial Intentionality
Thoughtful investment allocation over 18–24 months feels more deliberate than a rushed booking decision.
