I only lead a select number of private safaris each year which means your safari will be personalized and customized for you. When I meet with you, we will discuss your specific interest, such as hiking, photography, birding, and others. This will help me design an itinerary with your interests in mind.

Each guest who travels with me finds they have some connection to me – a friend of his, a friend of a friend, they’ve heard me speak at an event, or referred to him by a past guest. Cleveland is a big, small town where there is about 3 degrees of separation to everyone.

Planning your dream safari begins with a low-key, no pressure conversation. That may be a phone/Video call, or in person for coffee or a meal. I will use this time to get to know you, your family, and to better understand your dreams and goals for this amazing experience.

I prefer to utilize a small group of personally selected small camps, lodges and luxury hotels. This often allows us to have exclusive use of the camp or are among a small number of other like-minded guests. This means to secure the best locations with your preferred dates, it’s best to start this conversation 9 to 18 months before your preferred departure date.

Some guests have a particular style and experience in mind and have been thinking about this trip for several years, or even a lifetime. If you’re not there yet, don’t worry, I will help you. I can help with whatever you might need, from booking flights to what to pack, to helping you make sure you have all the details ironed out. My approach is highly customized, highly relational so you’ll know exactly what’s going to happen and can just relax and enjoy this amazing experience.

Once you have shared your goals and wishes, I will design a personal itinerary and present it to you. Your trip will continue to be refined until it’s just right and then we take the journey together.

Upon landing in the country, I am with you every step of the way until it’s time to say goodbye. During our time together, your meals, beverages, accommodations, charter flights, tips, activities, and transfers are all taken care of while we’re at the camps and in the bush. Throughout the experience, I’m with you to answer any questions you might have—from getting great photos of the wildlife to meeting whatever needs might arise. It’s truly a high-touch, personal experience. You don’t get that with other safari companies.

And as far as what you’ll experience? You’re going to be immersed within the land, there with the animals, among the locals. You’ll experience the place authentically, but also luxuriously. It’s truly the best of both worlds. Your adventure will be wild… but also exceptionally comfortable.
